I made this outdoor weatherproof Junction Box to accommodate an Eero Wifi unit to extend my network outdoors.

The box has 3 thin walled (0.4mm) 20mm diameter optional punch outs at the bottom to feed conduit too.  Use a speed-bore bit to drill out the one that you want.

Because the Eero unit is passively cooled I also made some punch out holes in the top and a roof that can be printed and installed (either as a friction fit or you could use some super glue).

The grill allows for mounting objects within the box and is easily mounted using some small screws.

For the best weatherproof solution, fill the groove in the top of the box with silicone (Caulking) and wipe off the excess.  

I designed the box to accept 4 brass heatset inserts for m3 screws.  These can be set in using any soldering iron, make sure they are in flush or just below the surface.

You will then need 4 m3 16mm-20mm screws to fix the lid in place.

This print is easily printed with PLA or ABS, no supports are needed for the box, grill or lid however you will need supports to print the roof if you decide to.

*All objects in the 3mf file are in the correct orientation for printing but you’d need a very large printer to them all at once.
