Descrição
Two-part stand for large cookbooks or other books that fits together and comes apart for easy storage.
Both pieces fit on the bed of my Prusa Mk4. The test print (see photos) used 149g of recycled PETG with default settings for Prusament PETG, except for 10% infill using the gyroid setting. Weaker materials and even less infill would likely work just fine too. Scaling down could help save filament, but at the expense of support for tall and heavy books.
I recommend printing in the default orientation with supports for the 45-degree overhangs at the bottom. You could flip it, but then the curves where the book sits would need to be supported instead.
Optional sliding dovetail extensions may also be printed to support top-heavy books, but are not required. I tested with the largest book I have (Sohla El-Waylly's “Start Here”, which measures 11.27" x 8.96" x 1.54" [287mm x 228mm x 40mm] and weighs 5.36 pounds [2.43 kg]) and I had a hard time pushing it over on accident without the extensions. The extension file may have to be scaled down a bit to fit in the legs of the stand depending on your print settings, but the 1:1 scale of the uploaded extension file worked for me.
