Descrição
This Mandala Sundial is made in two parts - a base with a custom layered mandala and the dial. To assemble this project, align the tabs at the bottom of the dial with the voids on the base and carefully push the two pieces together.
STL files are included so you can select the best filament type for the location where you'll be using the mandala. PETG would work for placing it in the sun.
For orientation, the dial (called a Gnomon) should point towards true north if you're in the northern hemisphere or south in the southern hemisphere. I used the compass app in my phone to help me locate it.
To read the sundial, see where the shadow from the Gnomon lands on or between the raised lines. The first line represents 6AM and chronologically works around the circle to the last line, which represents 6PM. If the shadow lands between the lines, the time will be somewhere between (i.e. 1:15PM, 1:30PM, 1:45PM, etc.). In the photos where the sundial is in the sun, the time was just about 12PM.
