I wanted a laptop stand that would be large enough to be stable, and scale with a laptop to achieve that. This stand will scale to be ⅔ as long and ½ and tall (roughly) as your laptop, which will hopefully keep it from tipping easily.

I haven't tested it for use in docked mode with the laptop on; The holes in the stand may or may not provide enough airflow for that, and that will vary per laptop.

The STL provided is for a Dell XPS 13 9370; Put your laptop's dimensions into the OpenSCAD Customizer to get an STL suitable for your own laptop. OpenSCAD may take a while to render the model, as it includes a potentially-irresponsible number of high-poly curves. Make sure to measure your laptop yourself; Specs posted online may be significantly off.
