Modelo 3D Prusa MINI coreXY por SE no Printables

Descrição

Simple and low cost upgrade of Prusa MINI to coreXY motion system. It uses much more of the original MINI than other “upgrades”. It keeps the original extruder, hotend, board, display, steel rods, bearings, bolts, and ALU extrusions.

First print:

Advantages

  • More stable frame

  • Enclosure panels mountable on the frame directly (improves rigidity)

  • Lightweight

  • Higher air temperature (printing at the top)

  • Higher bed temperature (110 °C)

  • Higher chamber temperature if enclosed (smaller chamber)

  • Smaller footprint

  • Bigger printing size (Z)

  • Optional direct drive upgrade to Sherpa/TBGS/HGX extruder mount (43.5 mm bolt span) - requires different cable connector

  • Steel rods or linear rails on Y axis

If you have another MINI frame, you can use all three extrusions.

Frame Variants

  1. L frame (cheap)

  2. complete bottom frame

  3. complete frame (top and bottom)

Direct drive extruder (HGX)

  • Fix the cable connector

  • Insert nuts into the top mount

  • Insert ~65 mm PTFE tube into hotend heatsink. The correct length depends if you have original or non-original hotend. The correct length is if the extruder is “levitating” ~0.5 mm above the frame.

  • Use M3x12 and M3x16 (or 20) for extruder mounting

  • Adjust current and gear ratio in slicer profile:

    • M906 E500 ; HGX higher current (500 mA)

    • M92 E570 ; HGX steps per mm

Comments

Use provided .ini file for PrusaSlicer. One for original extruder, one for HGX.
