I created this drilling jig to accurately drill holes in a hardwood board to make a standard 121-hole cribbage gameboard. The drill holes are sized for a ¼" bit and are chamfered to more easily locate the drill bit.
I printed this with a 0.8mm nozzle, at 0.32mm layer height (draft quality) in 5 hours and 49 minutes hours, using an Ender 3 v 2.
Make sure you orient the STL model with the chamfered holes side up for better print quality.
I recommend using a center finding drill bit, which you can pick up from most hardware stores (e.g. RYOBI Self-Centering Hinge Cutter | The Home Depot Canada). Once you have drilled a couple of holes, you can use a pair of ¼" pegs or drill bits to keep the template fixed in position while you drill the next set of holes.
The jig allows you to create a full-sized standard board with the traditional layout, on a board @ 4½" x 15". The ¼" holes are sized for standard sized cribbage pegs.
UPDATE 28 Dec 2023:
I added a thinner version, which works just as well, but uses less filament and prints faster. My experience using the jigs has been that a self centering drill bit is not necessary if you are using a drill press, and being careful.
UPDATE 08 April 2024:
Just a tip: you can reduce tear-out in the holes by slowing down, and / or by taping over the board you are drilling. I found that using a drill press and a brad point bit, and slowing down, especially as the bit enters the wood, makes for very smooth edged holes. I can still drill an entire board in about 45 minutes, but the finish is 100% better than rushing the drilling process.
