3D model Stackable Modular Snap-Together Storage Containers by Dadido3 on Printables

Description

Stackable Semi-Open Front Storage Containers

This is a collection of differently sized containers and accessoires which form a storage solution for all your small parts.
All containers can be snapped together in different combinations to suit your storage needs.

No supports are needed when printing any of the parts, and the containers can be printed in spiral vase mode for faster print times, reduced material usage, and no stringing.

    • 60 x 160 x 100 mm

  • Female and male models of the "Diamond" clamp mechanism that you can add to (or subtract from) your own models to make them compatible with this storage solution.

Updates

Due to popular demand, i re exported the models so that they are in the right orientation and can be printed without rotating them first. This is important, as otherwise the parts are hard to impossible to print.

3D printing settings

General tips

To get best results, ensure that the wall thickness of your printer is well calibrated. This way the containers will snap together without any play.

Containers

For the containers, use your preferred slicer and the following settings:

  • Spiral Vase Mode

  • 1 Perimeter

  • Wall thickness of 0.8 mm (Extrusion Width -> External Perimeters in PrusaSlicer)

  • Layer height of 0.2 mm for 0.4 mm nozzle.

The 60x80x100 container needs about 1 hour on a Prusa MK4 in spiral mode. The 60x160x100 container takes twice as long.

Accessoires

For all the other parts, use whatever you are comfortable. Don't use the vase mode, as the accessoire parts are designed for regular 3D printing.

The print time of the small accessoire parts are a few minutes each, depending on your exact settings.
