This collection includes three distinct styles of alignment brackets/braces. All brackets should be considered light-duty when 3D printed, though the main failure point in most situations would be the T-Nuts rather than the brackets themselves. The base version of the Right Angle Brace and 3-Way Bracket includes alignment pegs while the minimal versions do not.
All Brackets come with M4 holes. The Right Angle Brace and 3-Way Bracket have 4mm walls which allows them to accept up to a M4x10mm bolt with T-Nut. The Cross Connection Brackets have a slightly thinner wall and should max out at a M4x8mm bolt.
Right Angle Braces:
These braces are used to keep two pieces of Extrusion in position at a 90-degree angle and prevent them from twisting. The braces with alignment pegs tend to be sturdier than the minimal version, however the placement of the alignment pegs cause them to have a defined alignment. The “Left Hand” brace points to the Left of a Right-Angle Connection relative to piece whose end is contacting the other's face; “Right Hand”, logically, points to the Right. 3-Way Brackets:
These brackets align the corner of a 3-way joint. It attaches to the outside of the corner thus allowing clearance for other items on the inside of the connection. It also features a large (11mm) hole to allow access to a button head bolt connecting the two pieces that lie in the same plane.
Cross Connection Bracket:
While the other two brackets allowed for connection made between one face of a bracket 1 or 2 ends, these brackets connects two faces perpendicularly. Both versions include alignment pegs, but the Cross Support version adds flanges to the side of the connection in order to stiffen the connection; this is useful when one of the ends of the crossing extrusion holds more weight (or when you want less wobble in the connection). The flanges accept additional T-Nuts: in my experience the flanges are sufficient on their own but adding the T-Nuts would make it stiffer and should allow the joint to support more weight.
Printing
All models can be printed without supports.
