I needed a way to take along a few toothpicks in my pocket. The cases provided with the toothpicks are either too large or accidentally open in your pocket, leaving you with a pocket full off loose thoothpicks.

So therefor a simple design to fullfill my requirements, maybe it's of use to you too.

The tolerance between the inner and outer part is small, this is intentional to prevent accidental opening. And after some use, the parts wear a little and the sliding is smooth. But make sure you've got your settings dialed in. Suggested print orientation is found in the pictures.

There are 3 versions in length:

Original 55mm version
It holds about 18 toothpick and is designed for a toothpick length of 5 [cm]. Outer dimensions of the box are approx. 1 x 2 x 5.5 [cm].

65 mm version
Increased inner length to 6.5 [cm]

70 mm version (130% scale)
Increased inner length to 7.0 [cm]. This equals to the 130% as mentioned in the comments.

I would suggest printing it in PETG.
