This is a functional, full-sized ping pong/table tennis racket by [[https://www.thingiverse.com/juholga/designs](https://www.thingiverse.com/juholga/designs)](Juho Jalava on Thingiverse). I've tweaked the design slightly to make it print well on my Prusa i3 MK3S+. It also serves as an excellent test/benchmark print for first layer calibration, and warping.

Additional Notes:

• I did make a variant with a handle printed directly on top of the paddle, but found it works better to print the handle sections separately and then glue them on.
• I tried using a rectilinear infill – twice. Both attempts failed, with the paddle peeling apart between layers when bending/twisting it.
• The first layer is critical. The print will fail if you try to increase the first layer speed above 50%, or if your first layer calibration is not perfect.
• Watch the first layer very carefully. I ruined an entire hotend by leaving it unattended. Once you get past the first and into the second layer, you can leave the printer to do its job.
• I've uploaded both PETG (recommended) and PLA gcode:
  • PETG: use textured steel sheet; expect some light warping on the handle.
  • PLA: use smooth PEI coated steel sheet; no warping; you may want to rough up the surfaces a little for better grip when hitting the ball.
