Descrição
Great way to clamp miter joints or keep together any other rectangular glue-ups.
There are other models like this out there but I decided to design my own.
I have tested it on a birch plywood box and it has worked fabulously.
Specs
- The opening is 26mm wide so it fits a 1inch strap well.
- Inside of the corner has a radius cut out so it won't damage the clamped corner
- Fillets on the contact area so there are no sharp corners near your project
- When not used, the corner pieces stack together
- Includes an optional model for a rubber boot that can be printed with soft TPU to protect clamped material (disclaimer: I have not tried printing it yet myself)
Model Options
- Rails for the rubber boot add-on
- Holes for the strap can be closed (you will have to feed the strap through) or open creating a clip (the clamps can be taken off or put on wherever on the strap)
- The clip/open hole version has a thin 0.2mm pad attached to the base of the clip for better printability. It is easy to tear or cut off.
Let me know if you'd want models of different sizes - or you can just make your own remix.
Comments regarding the photos
Photos showcase the version with rails and open holes/clips. It is also an earlier version that does not stack as well because the profiles do not quite match. The uploaded models here have profiles on the inside that match the outside so they should stack satisfyingly for storage.
