Slicing

Scale up to 125% when slicing
Create a colour change profile

Printing and finishing

Chose colours that compliment and contrast for best results
Adjust speed and heat to maximize detail
– I slowed my print down to 50% after the colour change.
Remove unwanted top layer texture with your preferred method
– I used sandpaper and a nylon brush

If (like myself) you are limited to light colours, the base layer is thin enough that shining light though the back of the print will produce a silhouette a camera will identify.
