Description
These are pointless little boxes. They will hold various small items - such as a few coins, tiny seashells, an expensive pinky ring, a small amount of salt, a favourite pebble, a crumpled little piece of paper with your favourite word on it, a small pencil sharpener, a few pencil shavings.
Obviously I could continue. It's kind of fun as a conversation piece. Intrigue friends and family with the tiny things you store in each one.
I made this for something to print while trying to debug some filament challenges, thinking a pointless box is more interesting than just printing a pointless cube. The lid snugs in with a friction-fit fairly well.
To print the lid you can flip it upside down to avoid supports, or right-side up, with supports turned on for the outer lip. Works fine either way - see which finish you like best based on your slicer resolution settings and chosen orientation.
Obviously it doesn't use much filament, just over 2metres depending on your slicer settings.
You can store a favourite candy on your desk for your afternoon reward without anyone seeing it and swiping it.
After initially sharing, I also added a pointless tray to hold three pointless little boxes.ย
