3/16 Inch (4.77mm) Shelf Support Pegs.

Couldn't find the correct size shelf pegs at the local hardware store and the ones I need were going to take a week to get here. So I bought a 3 foot piece of 3/16 inch round welding rod for about $4 to make my own.

You'll need to cut the 3/16 inch rod into 5/8 inch long pieces (approximately 16 mm.) with a hack saw. Use a metal file to get rid of any burs on the edge you cut. I had top use a small mallet to tap the rod into the 3D printed part. Then install in your bookshelf.

About the design process...

I run Ubuntu Linux on all my home computers. This limits my choices for CAD software so I have taught myself how to use FreeCAD since there is a native Linux version that seems to be getting more stable as time goes by.
