Modelo 3D Angle gauge cube / inclinometer por Leading Edge no Printables

Descrição

UPDATE coming soon for smaller, more sensitive bearings - possibly MR106ZZ bearings.

This is my 3D printable angle cube / clinometer / inclinometer. It works very well, and with some practise you can accurately measure angles to within 0.5 degrees.

I have 2 versions available for download. "Version 1" is fully 3D printable, and "Version 2" needs a 608Z bearing and some 9.525mm (3/8 inch) ball bearings.(Slingshot ammo). You can also use 3/8 lead fishing weights cut to size.

"Version 1" has the option of 2 different needles - one needs some 3/8 inch (9.525mm) ball bearings / lead weights for added weight, the other is fully printable with only plastic as a counterweight.

NOTE - If you want to use a neodymium magnet as a magnetic base then a rectangular 50x15x2mm size works well. If you use one of these, then DO NOT use steel ball bearings as weights, make sure to use LEAD as your counterweights or the magnet will interfere with your measurements.

You will also need a 10mm or shorter M4 screw, M4 washer and a M4 brass threaded insert if you want to be able to lock the angle adjustment ring into place.

Attached is an inkjet printable 52mm ring protractor that needs to be printed at 100% actual size on A4 paper, cut out carefully and stuck onto the angle gauge adjustable ring.

Assembly should be straight forward, but if you have any questions feel free to contact me.

To measure or compare your angles, you can "zero" the main ring on your work surface / measuring surface and then move the angle cube to your desired location to measure the angle.

When measuring or setting your angles, make sure to lightly "tap" the angle cube a couple times with your finger in case there is any residual friction on the needle. This allows it to centre properly and give accurate readings.
