I didnt like that my shutter would normally end up on the floor so this holder attaches to my tripod.
the diameter of my tripod tube is 28mm. if you need another size please let me know and ill be happy to upload that version.
this has come in handy as it tidies away really well and it also has a small holder for the cable as well
