the pencil portion is 8mm so if you have trouble with your string tunnel not being that big, scale it down by 30 or 40% without having to redesign the whole thing

I printed mine with 4 shells and 5% infill. it allows the loop portion to be a little more flexible so it can expand to take on larger strings or knots. the narrow points allow you to wedge the string in without tying it. but if it doesn't work then just tie it on and pull it through.
