This is a re-creation from the ground up of my previous MacBook vertical stand but now it's completely parametric and allows you to customize it to your specific needs and should work with any laptop, not just MacBooks!*

This was designed in Fusion360 and I have provided the .STEP and .F3D files.  Editing the file is easy.  If you don't have Fusion360, you can go to their website and sign up for a free maker/hobbyist license.  Once you have the software, import the F3D file and go to “Modify” > “Change Parameters”

You want to now change the value for “Laptop_Width” to match your particular laptop.  You can either use calipers and measure the thickness or go to the manufacturer's website and look up the dimensions and enter that number for the "Laptop_Width" value.  You do not need to add any additional width to your measurement for tolerances, as I've already included it, however if you printer overextrudes, you may want to add an additional 0.1 - 0.2mm.

I have also included STLs for the MacBook M1 versions that match the fillet of the laptop's profile.  Feel free to change the fillets on the timeline to match your machine's if you're interested, but this is not a necessary step.

*Due to the parametric nature of this model and the limitations of Fusion360, if you adjust the length of the stand, it will break the hexagon patterns.  To get around this, just back up the timeline to before the last sketch and extrusion (or delete them) and you will be able to save the mesh without the hexagon pattern.  There is a parametric variable for the Stand_Length as well for ease of editing.

If you’re versed in Fusion, you can always edit the second sketch and change the projected sketch and re-extrude the hex pattern!
