The shock cord fitted to the deck of most kayaks is ideal for storing a paddle or other equipment. But getting these items into place when seated in the kayak is not always easy. A deck ball is the answer. When fitted, it’s way easier to slide paddle blades into place.

The outer diameter of the deck ball is 34 mm. It fits up to 8 mm shock cord.

Usage

1. Thread one of the halves of the deck ball on the shock cord you wish to attach it to. 
2. Create an overhand knot at the position you where you want the deck ball to sit.
3. Thread the other half of the deck ball on the shock cord.
4. Screw the two halves of the deck ball together to secure it. Make sure that the overhand knot is inside the deck ball.
