Descrição
This bracket lets you mount a Raspberry Pi Zero or Zero 2W above the Einsy board in Boogie's Big Einsy case for easier access and better cooling, as the Pi's CPU (which runs hotter in the 2W) is not sandwiched behind the Einsy as in the stock Prusa case.
There is enough headroom to fit a small heatsink (<8mm high) to the Pi.
You will need:
- Big Einsy case by Boogie (tested with “Honey Comb Remix” by BF3Design which is based on the old version but should work with the new 2023 version and other remixes)
- 2x M2.5x6mm screws
- 2x M2.5 nuts
- 4x long board-stacking pins (approx 30mm)
- (Optional) 14x14x6mm adhesive heatsink for the Raspberry Pi's CPU
Pi preparation is similar to the official Prusa guide, but you need to solder the pins so that they protrude from below the Pi instead of above it. I didn't bother with the GPIO22 pin as it is only used for stability in the stock Prusa Einsy case; the Pi will be more than secure enough with this bracket.
The nuts to mount the Pi are held captive in the printed bracket. Insert them and mount the Pi to the bracket with two M2.5 screws.
Make sure your cables are nicely managed so that there is sufficient room below the Pi and bracket.
Remove the rightmost two Einsy mounting screws, and use them to mount the bracket above the Einsy.
Be careful when connecting the Pi to the Einsy; ensure the correct pins line up. Check the pictures carefully.
