Descrição
I like the agility of this small tap wrench. Its easy to maneuver and easy to use. Its adjustable size alows it to fit a range of different tap sizes.
Printing
Print with no supports and the standard setting. If you want multicolor just add a layer based color change.
The hinge is “print in place” so you need to “break” it free after printing. Make sure you don't move the parts on the printbed after importing into the slicer or they might not be alligned anymore. When importing, the Prusaslicer asks you if it should make it one part with multiple pieces. Say yes to fix the possition of the individual pieces.
Assembly
The Assembly is trivial but here is the detailed description in case you need help.
Additionally you need
- 1xM3 Nut
- 1xM3x10 Bolt
Make sure the hinge moves freely before proceeding.
Push the M3 Nut into the thumbnut until flush with the 3D print. Then take the Bolt and push it into its place. it will take some force but then it should snap into place. For the final assembly put the thumbnut into the slot and close the wrench so that the bolt will reach the thumbnut then turn the thumbnut while pushing the two halves together until the thread of the Nut catchs the Bolt. To attach a tap just open the wrench by turning the thumbnut and placing it into the square opening in the middle then tighten the wrench until secure.
