I had this case for my drill for a long time, but I never used it. But when I went to use it, I noticed that the clips were missing. So three iterations later, I present my solution to this problem for anyone who got the same case.

Note that there are many different cases out there. This one in particular uses a round rod as a hinge where my clip fits snugly and rotates freely.
