Friend of mind one day called me in a panic, someone spilled water all over her laptop she used for university! I was able to coach her on powering it off and flipping it upside-down to prevent further liquid ingress and take it apart to disconnect the battery to prevent corrosive damage. Then have a hair drier hit it for 2+ hours
So, i didn't want to get another call and designed this a few years ago but forgot about it and never published it
Print settings;
0.2mm or lower for smooth screw rotation
I used 2 perimeter walls and 30% Grid infill. Works as well as when 100% solid
Avoid using PLA as it warps/creeps over time. PETG sticks when turning, giving you less clamping pressure. ABS/ASA is ideal
**FIXED** Updated Model
It's larger now do you don't have to resize it
Fixed all the edges
Made it so you can also clamp it from the top to change the resting height. Just print out two Screw Arm's and two Screws
Angled the clamps so they are flat when tight. The clamps are smaller now, but with electrical tape applied to the contact area or using TPU for the first layer they hold on enough to swear at it when you hit it with your knee
Doesn't need supports
Side Table Cup Holder **FIXED**
