I was looking at how to avoid having my bees being taken over by ants, and I figured some kind of “Moat” was appropriate, but I didn't want to build a tray with a moat built in, so I figured why not build feet, with the moat built in, I started with a couple of designs which I had concerns with on stability, as I don't want the bee-hive to fall over, in a strong wind, or with a racoon or some other animal jumping onto the box. So I came up with this design and am testing it now. If the design fails for any reason, I'll update this thread / model with a revised design.
