EDIT 6/21/23 I've replaced the files with a v2 design that incorporates a number of QOL tweaks:

• Rounded the bottom corners of the dice compartment to make them easier to get out.
• Slightly tweaked the design of the dice tower so it can be printed upright with no supports.
• Re-designed the connection between the tower and the lid for easier alignment
  • They still need to be glued together, but this gets rid of the need for the additional alignment frame and adds a little extra stability.
• Added dimples to the sides of the box to make it easier to remove the lid.
• Rounded the corners of the box for better aesthetics/easier printing.
• General tolerance tweaks to make it more forgiving to print.
• Rotated the models so they default to their recommended print orientations.

This is a simple dice box and tower based on a woodworking design I saw on Reddit. When closed, the tower fits inside the box and the small extra space provides storage for a full set of D&D-style dice (with a good amount of room to spare - I haven't tested exactly how much it will fit). When opened, the tower slots onto the side of the box so that it is self-supporting.

I designed the tower and lid as two separate pieces to make them easier to print and glued them together after the fact. The “alignment frame” file is just a simple replication of the top of the box for use as a guide when gluing the tower onto the lid to ensure it lines up properly (no longer needed with v2).

The tower piece itself was printed on its side with full supports.
