LED Printer Status Beacon Light

Printing Instructions

• light_diffusor.stl
  • Print in vase mode. White or clear Filament should work.
• LED_clamp.stl:
  • optional. Only needed, if the LED-Strips you use have no adhesive on them, or if the strips come loose anyway.
• main_body.stl:
  • supports needed. I recommend Tree Supports, only touching buildplate.
• the other parts should be rather easy to print with no special settings and do usually not require supports.

Hardware

For assemply you will need: 

• 8 to 11 M3 x 5 countersunk-head screws (3 extra for the LED clamps)
• 1 T-Nut that fits the extrusion you want to put the Light on
• 1  Screw (preferably flathead) to fit the T-Nut

Electronics

• A total of 12 NeoPixel LEDs (2 LED-Strips with 6 LEDs each)
• Some wires and insulation
• Connectors to crimp on the ends (Dupont Conbnectors for RaspBerry Pi)
