Descrição
This is a very tiny fidget button! At about one inch tall, it is small enough to get lost in a pocket. There is a keychain loop to minimize this chance. But either way, this fidget toy can easily be brought anywhere!
As of now, the button only has movement action and no satisfying clicks. This does mean it is relatively silent and less likely to distract others, but I want the clickyness. I am very sad about this design flaw any will be working to make a noisy version.
This design utilizes two 3mm dia. x 2mm tall neodymium magnets being repelled for the button's spring action. I acquired 200 of these for less than $10 on Amazon. Coupled with each model using less than 3 grams of filament, these make for very inexpensive gifts or fun toys to give away. Everyone I know will end up with one, mark my words.
I printed my micro fidget buttons at a .15mm layer height with supports only for the bottom frame piece. Also provided are alternate models of the bottom frame and button cap that include simple supports. The button cap and bottom frame piece have press fit slots for the magnets, and the two frame pieces are designed to be press fit together. In the event of tolerance issues upon printing, both press fit systems are designed with extra channels to make gluing easier. The button mechanism should slide pretty well immediately after printing, but some filing around the edges and z-seams may be helpful if you run into any issues.
