I saw the contest 2 days before it ended and my first thought was this picture which is of course ‘older than the internet’.
I checked the entries for something like that and found: [https://www.printables.com/model/428101-catastrophecat-ass-trophy](https://www.printables.com/model/428101-catastrophecat-ass-trophy)
Well.. someone was quicker than me. However, it kept me thinking, the original from the picture is not a cup or statue, it's a trophy. And trophies usually hang on the wall and feature a distinctive part of the prey nailed to a wooden board.
I widened my search and found:
[https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5867296](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5867296) More like it but not ‘assy’ enough imho.
[https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2554502](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2554502) Interesting but again, not really a trophy.
Reason enough to spend my Sunday designing. So, I used a fitting cat model, whipped together a coat of arms like shape in OpenSCAD, slammed the cat behind on it and realized that it would not be so easy.
The legs were not symmetrical, one paw was still in the air while the other one was already half buried. Also, the tail was not quite right. So I used Prusa Slicer to slice the cat apart and rotated and translated the parts into a fitting position with OpenSCAD. “You should have used Blender!” I hear you say. You are right. However I'm a CAD guy, my Blender skills are non-existent. So, the resulting model is a catastrophe of its own. Kind of adhering to the theme I guess?
