Descripción
This was done for an acquaintance who needed to adjust the fit of an over-size ring (actual ring could not be modified). Since it was done for a specific ring size I don't whether others can use it, although it might be possible to scale it to other sizes. In the worst case, I hope that other can at least use the idea (or modify my CAD files as necessary).
Here are the dimensions of the ring I made it for:
- inner diameter 18.9mm
- outer diameter 22.96mm
- thickness 4.05mm
The sizers are made in four different sizes so the one with the best fit can be used. There are slight differences in each size to allow for the size of the adjustment.
Here's a statement from the person I made it for:
"I've been wearing the resizer for about a week now and I'm loving it. It does a much better job keeping the ring in place than what I was using before and it's more comfortable."
Here is the OnShape 3D CAD file:
Print instructions
The provided files are for print in PLA. I used transparent PLA to help make the sizer "invisible".
Print on the side :
- no brim
- 0% infill
- perimeters = 4
I printed multiple copies of each size - useful to have spares of this easy to lose item.
Also included is a "copy"of the ring I made these for - used for test fitting.
