Modelo 3D GridBot Direct Extruder mount por Jeffeb3 no Printables

Descrição

This mounts a clone bmg dual extruder and a E3D v6 hot end, along with a BL touch.

This fits on the GridBot v2, but there may be other printers using these linear rails.

Parts you need:

  • Dual gear extruder (not a bondtech, but the clone bmg. The orig. might work fine, IDK).
  • Pancake motor. With the huge gear advantage a smaller motor is fine, and it will save weight.
  • E3D v6 (This is also a clone, I think).
  • BL Touch
  • One of each part
  • M3x40mm 3x screws to attach the motor to the extruder and mount.
  • M3x15mm 2x. I'm not certain on the length.
  • M3 nuts x2
  • 40mm fan
  • E3D's stock cooling fan (30mm?)
  • Screws and mount to attach to the linear rail and add the belts.

The order of assembling this is important. It can only be built one way.

  1. Attach the mount to the X axis.
  2. Put the heat sink into the extruder. The extra long part should point towards the belts, under the gantry. If you have a gap inside the heat sink, there is a 3d printable insert to put some more PTFE in there. If you don't do that, it will jam a lot. Put the gear on the motor.
  3. Put the hard to reach screw (bottom left) in so it's just about to poke out the back of the extruder. Put the extruder in the mount, tipping it down so that screw is pointing at it's home.
  4. Screw that screw in until you can tip up the extruder.
  5. Then install the other two screws and the motor. They can all be done in any order at this point.
  6. Install the BL touch through the extension. You can resize and reprint that extension to change the Z height of the BL touch. With my sensor, a height of 6.2mm means it triggers 1.5mm below the nozzle (M851 Z-1.5) and it is very clear of the prints while printing. So that's how I like it.
  7. Install the fans in the fan shroud.
  8. Clip the fans onto the hotend. The part fan should be on the opposite side from the extra chunk of hotend.
  9. The PTFE holder goes on the back of the machine. You can zip tie the wires to the trunk. One of the parts came with a metal PTFE tube gripper (maybe the E3D heat sink?) that fits in there. I could only get one screw in, and I installed it at an angle to make the path of the plastic a little smoother.
