In preparation for the Halloween season, you can print your own cute skull lamp army, i looks awesome printed in Prusament Galaxy black and White pearl, but you can use any different filament color, the see through filaments make cool light effects.

You only need 17 ultra bright white leds, some wire bending and soldering, the lamp can be powered with 3 x AA batteries.
Just follow the steps and take your time bending the led pins and soldering the same polarity pins together.

Depending of your printer performance you may need to glue some parts, hot gluing the connections is also a good idea.

I have been designed things for these Prusaprinters contest for some time now, but for this lamp contest I learned some tricks that could be useful in priors designs, depending of the final contest result I will revisit some of my old designs, now I know how I can improve some details, also this may be my last entry for this contest since the school is returning the next week. Of course I will participate in the Halloween contest (if there is one) I just love “Dia de los muertos”

I may not win (again) but I hope my friends, students and followers help me again to be in the first 5 places of likes, so I can buy a mk2.5 s upgrade that my printer really needs and a mmu2s that I really miss.

If you are still reading I have one question for you. Do you think it is better for a design submitted to the contest to be released in the first weeks? or it is better to release it in the last weeks?

I usually release my designs in the first weeks, I do this because I think that people have more time to like the design and also more time to download and test, this way the design can improve until the end of the contest. But also I have noticed that no matter how cool the design looks at the beginning it loses impact during the contest and it doesn’t look cool after some weeks. In other side, designs released in the last weeks looks fresh and cool in the time of the judging. Well this is my perception. I really don’t know if this situation has impact in the contest results.
