I designed this Venturi pump to see if it'd work for fertigation in a drip system and it seems to work quite well. Though I still need to test its longevity.
I printed one in PETG and one in PLA; both seem to work fine. I suggest using 3-5 perimeters and increasing the printing temp to improve the layers adhesion.
I tested it at 1 bar and ~3 bar with the following (roughly) measured flow rates:
| Inlet pressure | Outlet pressure* | Aspiration flow rate | Flow rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 bar | Open hose | 85 L/h (1.4 L/min) | 150 L/h |
| Drip system** | 7 L/h (~0.1 L/min)*** | 50 L/h | |
| 3 bar | Open hose | 225 L/h (3.75 L/min) | 400 L/h |
| Drip system** | 30 L/h (0.5 L/min) | 100 L/h |
* I currently don't have a manometer to measure it.
** The drip system consists of 10 lines of 6 meters each with a dripper every 0.3 m (about 200 drippers in total). The nominal flow rate at 1 bar for the drippers is 2 L/h.
*** There may not be any suction at all.
The hose for the aspiration end should have a ~10 mm internal diameter.
