MARCH 2024 UPDATE

After almost two years with the old file, I was getting really frustrated with the remote case and decided to re-design it from scratch. Even though the file looks nearly identical, it has several key changes:

• Improved printability: The lip around the remote has been made wider, providing more surface area to stick to the build plate
• Improved latch: The original latch required supports that were difficult to remove without breaking the latch. This latch is built to be printed without supports and is more robust than the original
• Improved shape: The original model let the Chromecast remote slide around inside its casing, which became very annoying over time. This new model keeps the Chromecast remote stationary

The new model is uploaded as a .stl and .3mf with pre-painted supports. I recommend using the .3mf file.

My Chromecast remote is always getting lost, but I couldn't find a single model that I liked. Instead, I decided to put two models together, allowing you to make your Chromecast remote longer and flat on the bottom, as well as adding a spot for a Tile button should you be unable to find the remote.
