This spool holder is made for small spools. It comes with a honeycomb pattern and the option of customization with different color combinations.

To made this spool holder you will need:

• 4 “608” bearings (you can also print the bearings)
• Foam rubber sheet with adhesive on one side

Assembly instructions:

1. Print 4 intermediate sheets  in the color you want
2. Print 2 external frames and 2 internal frames with a stop to insert the color sheet. (if you are printing with a layer height of 0.2 the stop must be at 1.4mm of height)
3. insert the bearings in the 2 external frames
4. Assemble the internal frame to the external frame (the fit is moderately tight so no glue is required)
5. print 2 rails
6. insert the rails in the holes and adjust the distance betwen the two parts of the spool holder to fit your spool
7. stick the rubber sheet to the back of the spool holder to fix the rail to the structure (if the adhesive of the rubber sheet is not enough to fix the rails you can use cyanoacrylates)

Some considerations:

This spool holder is made to be static, this means that is made for a concrete size of spool and it cannot be adjusted.

The spool holder is ideal for spools with the followings dimensions:

Diameter: about 120mm
Width: 30-50mm
