This is a customizable coaster, perfect for keeping your drink on your desk.

• High edges to catch condensation and small spills
• Mini hexagons provide a dry surface for your glass to rest on
• (Optional) blank center to add your own text
• Customize the size and other parameters
• Try muili-material printing or slicing with a color change on the text

The model doesn't have any overhangs and should print well with your usual defaults. 0.2mm layer height is fine, and there's no reason to go smaller. Consider enabling ironing (with a bounding box) for a smooth finish on top.

Standard Coaster

If you don't want a custom design in the middle, just print the Coaster.stl file.

Versions

v2 makes the width 110mm (instead of 100) at the widest diagonal, and removes the lip around the edge. Use whichever version you prefer.

Prusa Slicer Custom Text

Prusa Slicer 2.6+ can add custom text before printing.

1. Use Coaster - blank.stl
2. Import the model into Prusa Slicer 2.6+
3. Right click - Add part - Text
4. Under the advanced text options, check “Use surface”.
5. Set the depth to 2mm.
6. Adjust the text, font, and height (font size) to your liking.
7. Print it!

OpenSCAD Custom Text

If you prefer, you can use OpenSCAD (instead of your slicer) to customize the text or any other part of the model (including the blank area, size, number of hexagons, etc.)

1. Use Coaster.scad
2. Adjust the parameters to your liking.
3. Export as STL and print!
