Descrição
This is a case for button cell / coin cell batteries. It's a remix of the parametric Small-Battery Case by George F with various improvements:
- Slider rails
- Windows on the side to check how many batteries you still have
- A locking mechanism to prevent the crate from accidentally sliding out of the sleeve
- A thumb slider at the bottom
- The crate is flush with the sleeve at the back
- Closed bottom
- Pre-generated STLs for many battery types
- Customizable in Onshape (scroll down for more info)

Printing
Make sure your printer is properly calibrated. The two parts have to fit together. Over extrusion or inconsistent extrusion might result in bad fit.
Print the parts in the original orientation. All the STL files are pre-rotated.
Print Settings
- Material: PLA, PETG, etc.
- Extrusion width: 0.4mm
- Layer height: 0.2mm
- Perimeters: 3 or 4
- Top / bottom solid layers: 4
- Infill: 10% (might work without infill too)
Pre-generated STLs
There's a folder in the Files tab for each battery type. Multiple versions with different capacities are available for each battery type.
The file naming is as follows:[NAME]_[TOTAL_CAPACITY]_[COLUMNS]_(Crate or Sleeve).stl
Note: Apart from the ones in the pictures, battery sizes have not been tested. The dimensions were taken from datasheets from the Umtel components library. If you find any incorrect sizes please send me a message. The list of battery equivalents are from Wikipedia.
Available Pre-generated Cases
Depending on the size of the batteries, pre-generated cases are available with a total capacity 64, 40, 32, 20, 16, or 10 batteries and with 4, 2, or 1 columns.

Customization
You can create a case for an existing battery type with custom capacity and number of columns. Or you can create a case for a custom battery type with custom battery dimensions.
Click the link below to start customizing.
How To Customize
- Open the link above.
- In the top left, change the configuration according to your needs. You may have to resize the section to see all the options. The configuration options are described below.
- In the lower left, right-click on the parts and select “Export” from the menu.
- In the Export dialog, select
- Format: STL
- Units: millimeter (important!)

Configuration Options
| Battery Type | The type of battery. Use the table above to find the canonical name. If your battery is not listed, select “Custom” and enter the battery dimensions yourself. |
| Capacity | The minimum number of batteries you'd like to store. The number will be rounded up in case it isn't divisible by the number of columns. |
| Columns | The number of columns in the case. The number of batteries per column is the capacity divided by this value, rounded up. |
| Battery Diameter | If you chose “Custom” as the battery type you can specify the diameter of your battery. |
| Battery Thickness | If you chose “Custom” as the battery type you can specify the thickness of your battery. |
| Thumb Slider | Uncheck this box if you want to disable the Thumb Slider slot. This can be useful when the battery case is too small to properly render the slot. Or if you simply don't like it. |
| Print Orientation | Check this box to export the 3D model in the correct orientation for printing. |
