This is my frame design I made to house my lithophane I made of my wife and I on our wedding day 8 years ago. This was my gift to my wife. The frame is printed with only supports on the inside (may not need it if bridging dialed in correctly)
Material: PLA American filament classic lithophane white AF
Printer: Anycubic Kobra
Settings:
I used the website lithophanemaker.com for the lithophane and adjusted my settings there as well as in cura 5.2.1 (I'll cover that one in a bit)
Resolution: 0.15
Width: 200mm
Height: 133mm
Depth: 5mm
Base Height: 5mm
Overhangs angle: 60⁰
Max thickness: 3mm
Min thickness: 0.6mm
Adjust crop accordingly to your photo
Cura settings:
Height: 0.15
Wall: 7
Infill: can be zeroed out but I left it at 15%. Wall amount won't allow for infill
Hot end: 205⁰
Buildplate: 60⁰
Speed: 45mm/s
Outer wall speed: 30mm/s
Inner wall speed: 30mm/s
Top/ bottom speed: 25mm/s
Travel speed: 80mm/s
Initial layer print speed: 15mm/s
Initial layer travel speed: 45mm/s
Brim: 8 line count
In cura you can save these settings as a new profile by opening your profile setting and selecting "create profile from current settings/overides and naming it lithophane profile. This way you don't have to remember what you changed. Just select the litho profile and done.
Frame for lithophane sized to fit 133/H x 200/W
Material: PLA Geeetech Matte black 205⁰
Nothing special here just 0.2 layer Height
Printed at 80mm/s with 15⁰ gyroid Infill
