A wall mounted rocket league logo. This will require a multi color printer to print with a bed of at least 244mmx233mm.

Inside im using a WS2812B led strip around the inside. (it comes out to 44 leds. The ball countains 4 additional WS2812B LEDs. I cut up some remaining LEDs from the strip I had and soldered small wires between them to connect them. Power input is a 5V power supply with a barrel jack (this one).

The model contains a space for this plug socket. It fits snug. It needs a little force to get in but i does go nowhere without any glue.

Everything is controlled by an ESP8266-12F with WLED firmware on it.

If you build this make sure that the LEDs are powered directly from the power input and not through the micro because the current would be too large.

I used a lot of hot glue to glue the electronics and glue the ball and the LEDs in the ball together.

I designed the logo diffuser to be very thin (2 0.2mm layers) so as much light as possible gets through. That means that the result is a little bit fragile but if you are a bit careful its not too bad.

I used supports for the ball and the openings for the plug (which is probably not necessary but it doesnt hurt).

The ball is a rescaled version from this design by link0007 on thingiverse.
