I know there are already some QR-models, but they all don’t fit my requirements.

I want to generate very fast and simple small plates with a QR-Code, optionally with an inserted magnet and optional with a short text below the code. So I made my own model with OpenSCAD.

How to make your own QR-Code?

• Generate your QR-Code with [https://ridercz.github.io/OpenSCAD-QR/](https://ridercz.github.io/OpenSCAD-QR/).
• Copy the lines “qr_data = [ …. ]];“ .
• In OpenSCAD replace this in the attached OpenSCAD-Script.
• Change some parameters if necessary (see description below)
• Press F6 to generate the STL and
• Press F7 to export this to a stl-file
• Open Printables.3mf in PrusaSlicer and replace “Printables.stl” 
• Press “Slice now” to generate the gcode
• Check if settings for the pause “Insert magnet” and “color change” are still correct.
• Export the gcode and print your QR-Code plate.

OpenSCAD parameters:

• module_size = 1: size of a pixel in QR-Code
• height = 1: high of the pixel
• border_size = 2: size of the border around the QR-Code
• plate_thickness = 3: thickness of the plate below the QR-Code
• magnet = 1: if you want to have a hole for inserting a magnet choose 1, otherwise 0
• magnet_diameter= 12.2: Diameter of the magnet. Give some additional space (~0.2)
• magnet_thickness = 1.2: Thickness of the magnet. Give some additional space (~0.2)
  the attached stl-file is for a magnet  12 x 1 mm
• under_magnet_thickness = 0.4: Thickness of the layers below the magnet. 
• plate_extension_size = 5: if you don’t want to add additional text choose 0
• text_size = 3.5: size of the text below the QR-Code
• text = "  Printables": Text to print

During printing the printer will stop twice. At the first stop insert the magnet into the hole. At the second step change your filament color.

In this example the QR-Code is for the URL [https://www.printables.com](https://www.printables.com). You can code simple text or any URL but also other things.
