Its meant as a easier alternative to typical paint scraper.
The blade and the blade holder is angled to lie flat against the surface, so not to bite into the print bed.  Probably most useful for glass bed or flat surface.

I found removing skirts and brims much easier with this tool than the usual scraper.

Blade pinched by loose dovetail fit.  Did not want to secure it too tight for fear of handling hazard.
