Trash container model

A very simple trash container design with a lid, designed specially for a special kid. Model suitable for kids (and adults) who like (or are obsessed) with trash containers, garbage trucks e.t.c.

Necessary parts for assembly:

1 x Container (3 design variants available)

1 x Lid (3 design variants available)

2 x Hinge

2 x Hinge_lock

Assembly:

Option A

1.. Insert Hinges from inside of the container in the designed slots and slide them down in the slots as low as possible;

2.. Insert Hinge_locks from the outside and press them into the open slot;

3.. Stretch the Lid legs over the hinges one side at a time, press firmly so the Hinges pass trough Lid legs all the way;

4.. Marvel at Your new model.

Option B

If using hard filament that is not very flexible or is brittle (for example PLA) that makes it hard to stretch the lid legs over the hinges:

1.. Insert one Hinge from inside of the container in the designed slots and DO NOT slide them down in the slots;

2.. Attach Hinge_lock from outside on the Hinge (make sure not to put it in the container slot);

3.. Attach Lid leg, by pressing the hinge trough Lid leg;

4.. Repeat steps 1. trough 3. for other side;

5.. Slide the whole assembly down into the Container slot as far as it will go;

6.. Rotate Hinge_locks so they match the openings and press them into the open slot;

7.. Enjoy.

Available design variants:

Containers (bottom part)

V0 - container design with original owners embossed logo;

V1 - container design with empty frame for custom logo;

V2 - container design without logo.

Lids (upper part)

V0 - plain lid (without openings);

V1 - lid with two circular openings;

V2 - lid with square opening.

Notes:

Should be fine with any kind of filament.
Note: Some touch-up might be necessary before assembly in Lid leg and Container openings if using softer filament or if there are issues with bridging (as with PETG).
