This is a stackable Christian tree in a low poly design. 🎄

The model consists of 7 parts: 1 log (tree trunk, stem), and 6 layers of the tree. 

Give it to your kids as a stackable sensory toy or use it as a modern low poly Christmas home decoration - or both! 😊

Print it in Christmas glitter (glitter always works great for low poly), print it in different colors per part, print it in wood, print it however you want to. 

The tree has a height of 16cm and is ~12cm wide. The model can easily be scaled up or down if needed. 
 

Printing Instruction

Nothing special to follow here. Just use a default profile you like. Doesn't need to be too fine. There is also no need for any additional perimeters and additional infill. 

I printed the 100% scale version on the pictures (glitter green, glitter purple, and glitter silver) with a 0.6 nozzle, a 0.3 layer height, 2 perimeters, and just 10% infill, with the simple and fast rectilinear infill pattern. 

The 80% scale version (all glitter green) was printed at 0.2mm layer height in one go.

The 75% scale version (green, red and brown wood filament) was printed at 0.2mm layer height. Wood filament doesn't print so precisely, I had to sand down the log and the inner rings of the layers a bit to make it fit.

The 50% scale version (light gradient purple) from the pictures was printed at 0.2mm layer height.

All parts print without support. 

Note on scaling

When scaling down please be aware that the play between the log and the tree parts also decreases - depending on the configuration of your printer and the filament used, this might end in a tight fit. Reprinting the log a bit smaller - if you have a fit problem after scaling - is not an issue, the log is a fast and easily printable part. 

On a Prusa MK3 you need to scale down to < ~80% to fit everything onto the bed in one print if you want one color for example (sample g-code attached).
