Modelo 3D Coffee Table Bracket por Paul (RasielD) no Printables

Descrição

Freshly imported this from my Thingiverse. Gonna leave the original description in tact from there as saving the small table still means a ton to me from July 2018. Here goes.

First shared print on here. Designed it few days ago now to secure the legs of the coffee table we have in the living room and figured it might be useful to others.

Inspired by some of the practical prints going on as of late and wanting some old school to meet new school, I put these together for our coffee table in our living room. The table itself is around 50 years old and was put together by my late grandfather. He was always quite the handyman and probably would have marveled at the 3d printing scene.

The table itself met a rather unfortunate incident a few days ago when it was bumped hard from the side by some visiting family, causing the table to fall flat. I didn't want to throw out part of my grandfather's handywork, so we reglued and nailed the legs into place and, to prevent a repeat incident in a few years time, I designed these brackets to shore up all 4 corners.

Finally, for those curious about the file name, I grew up calling my grandfather Nunu and my grandmother Nuna. Was told later on those were the Maltese names for my grandparents. Cue "The more you know" star.

Print instructions

Originally printed with orange PETG with Gyroid infill. Other infills may do fine, but I wanted to ensure structural strength in all directions as this table has seen ALOT of abuse in the past 50 years to make it to this point and I'd like to make sure it sees at least another 50 more.

Top/Bottom layers were 16 layers thick and walls were set at 12. It was printed on a .4mm nozzle, though, if they do have a future incident and the piece fails, I may try it with a .8mm to 1.2 mm nozzle.

If you print it, I would not suggest rotating it to another orientation. Keep the screw holes horizontal and print it on either the top or bottom face with the inner edge facing the part cooling fan if you have one. The slight overhangshould not be an issue when comes time to print. It was a tiny oversight I did not notice till well after it was printed as it was modeled right before heading off to bed after a very, VERY long day of work.
