This was a remix of the award winning design by Luke's 3d: ([https://www.printables.com/model/265248-ratchet-toothpaste-tube-squeezer](https://www.printables.com/model/265248-ratchet-toothpaste-tube-squeezer))

 I wanted something slightly larger to fit my toothpaste tubes. I also wanted a stand to hold the toothpaste upright. 

Hence this redesign.

Print recommendations:

Print with PETG at 100% infill for the shaft and the nut to obtain the best torsional strength.

Print the stand with minimal supports in the center. See the 3mf file for an example of paint on  supports.

100% infill will give the stand a good weight to hold the toothpaste upright, but any infill above 40% will be fine.

Optional Text Customizing:

For my holder, I added embossed writing on the sides of the holder. I made the base sides flat to allow easy embossing with your customized text using the stl 3d editor of your choice. 

Easy customizing can be done using the provided step file.

ie: for fusion 360, follow these steps:

1. start a new design and import the step file
2.  draw a sketch on the side plane.
3.  add the text of your choice to the sketch.
4.  emboss the letters so they intersect with the base mesh and extend about 1.5mm. At this height no support will be needed when 3d printing.
5. Select ‘save as mesh’ to export both the new base with the extruded text to a mesh
6. Print!
