Enjoy my design of the Kunai used in the anime Naruto!

I've looked through numerous sites for a Kunai file that looked accurate to the anime and was comfortable in the hand. Granted, any designs in cartoons/anime will vary from episode to episode.

I used the attached photos from the anime as a reference. I wanted it to fit in an adults hand, (my hands are fairly large). I also wanted to create a design that was strong, most designs I've see seemed weak at the transition points for the blade and rings from the handle.

I have both a single piece file and file for multiple parts for assembly. Use a bit of super glue to hold the part together securely. When its sanded and painted, I use white medical tape for the handle and I weather it a bit with black shoe polish.

The Knife when assembled is 285mm long and 45mm wide. (11-1/4" long and 1-3/4" wide)

UPDATE: (7/14/25) - Changed License to Non-Commercial

-I went to a con this past weekend and saw a booth selling my model at his stand. It didn't bother me he was selling the print, what bothered me was the guy at the booth told me he purchased all of his models from a private designer and i know 100% the model he was selling was my design.

UPDATE: (10/24/25) - Updated Model

 - I've been going back through all of my models and i've been adding smoother texture to them. I never did like how clunky the ring looked on this model, now its much better!  Should be a much cleaner looking print from here on.
