A simple RFID locking system for my shed but without putting anything outside so I didn't haft to make anything weather-proof. Luckily the RFID range easily went through the window of my shed so I designed a case to hold it in the corner of the window and then a case to hold the raspberry pi and relay switch.
I use a solar power system in my shed and I already have a lot of LED's on it and found the Lock would not engage whilst the lights were on so I implemented a button (link below) that would tell the Pi to break the circuit of the light with the relay and in turn connect the circuit for the lock.
I decided to add the 5v fan to the control box as my shed is insulated and gets quite hot so I didn't want the Pi to overheat.
The case for the RFID reader worked really well so I might create some variations of it for mounting on a wall when I get time.
