Description
So I asked Valve support if i could get the CAD files for the trigger button of the deck, sadly they denied.
So I did the only thing logical and………..invested 800€ in a freaking 3d scanner…yeah no joke.
The scan is very usable BUT it needs a bit of work on the underside.
My 3D skills are limited to tinkercad so I tried but failed miserably.
Now its on you guys to take the 3d scan and make it as usable out of the box ( printer) as you can.
If someone of you could clean up the surface of the model reinsert the R2 and L2 letters ( Just mirror it for the Left side) and tidy up the cavities on the underside it would be an awesome resin printed shoulder button, thinking of all the different colors, translucent etc.
Right now the trigger button needs quite some work to make it fit for the "undercarriage" also the size is not perfect, the resin print I did is a hair to big, after several tries I settled with 98% scaling size, and that size worked nicely.
After printing I used a dremel and scalpel to make the underside fit, I also gave the top surface a slight polish with 1000grid wet sandpaper, cleaned it with alcohol and gave it 3 layers of clearcoat. I also painted the inside with red color to give it a uniform look.
