A  traditional seigaiha inspired vase & planter set, this motif, also know as , is meant to represent the blue sea and its waves. I wanted to see if I could create a 3D version of this traditional japanese motif and make it printable in Vase Mode.

Printing

Both model should be printed using the following recommended print settings:

• Layer Height: 0.20mm (recommended)
• Spiral vase: yes
• Infill: 0%
• Perimeters: 1
• Solid layers:
  • Top: 0
  • Bottom: 4 (recommended, between 2 & 5 should be fine)
• Extrusion width (using an 0.4mm nozzle):
  • External perimeters: 0.6mm (recommended, controls the size of the outer wall)

A Prusa Slicer project file is also available if you just to slice the models yourself but still use those recommended settings.
