Motivation
During the local holidays, my wife wanted to create a macramé and hang it, but all hardware stores were closed, therefore the Prusa Mini+ came to rescue me by allowing me to print the hook and accessory rings.
I searched in Printables.com for something that suits my needs but I could not really find a combo (ring + hook), this gave me the motivation to design them.
This page include three items:
- A macramé ring, (50mm x 10mm)
- A ceiling hook and
- An alternative trapezoid that can be used instead of a boring ring.
The hook was copied from a metal hammock hook I have at home, that acts as a double loop preventing the ring to get lose when moving the hammock.
- The hook has a middle hole for securing it to the ceiling, the hole has a 5mm diameter, allowing at least a 10mm diameter screw head.
- Take notice that printing if the part is printed in PLA, you need to be careful not to tight the hook to tight to the ceiling
Printing the parts
The parts need to be printed for strength, therefore you should use at least 60% infill filling.
Use preferably a strong and stiff material, like ABS, PET-G or PC. Don't use flexible filaments like Nylon ones, because you won't be able to maintain a trust-able hook. PLA is possible, but be aware PLA can explode without warnings when over-tighten if the part have a low rate infill.
I used PLA+ because that is what I have :)

All parts need to be printed laying in the print bed as in the the left figure, that is laying in the X-Y plane; in this way you gain more strength.
The same goes for the hook, that need to be printed in the orientation presented in the figure when one of the hooks is completely touching the printing bed.
Be aware that the hook needs support material for printing the hanging upper hook.
The rings do not need any support material.
For a better look, print the parts separately.
Hope it was not TL;DR
