A simple rumba ball made of two parts, the ball itself and the handle (available in two lengths). Inside the ball there is a cavity with a ribbed surface (for a more pronounced sound when turning) into which some suitable filler is poured. By using different fillings it is possible to influence the final sound of the instrument (a small filling like rice is more 'rustling' whereas a larger filling like peas is more rattling). After filling, just screw the handle into the ball. If small children are playing with the rumba ball, it should be taken into account that it contains small pieces that could be inhaled by the child.

Jednoduchá rumba koule vytvořená ze dvou částí a to koule samotné a madla (dostupného ve dvou délkách). V kouli je dutina s žebrovaným povrchem (pro výraznější zvuk při otáčení) do které se nasype nějaká vhodná výplň. Použitím různých výplní je možné ovlivnit výsledný zvuk nástroje. (drobná výplň jako rýže spíše ‚šustí‘ zatím co u větší výplně, jako třeba hrášek je zvuk spíše chrastivý). Po naplnění stačí zašroubovat madlo do koule. Pokud si s rumba koulí budou hrát malé děti, je třeba brát v potaz že obsahuje drobné kousky které by dítě mohlo vdechnout.
